Ivan Sandler is a 19-year-old artist from the San Francisco Bay Area currently studying in Boston. His latest collection centers on characters caught in small, familiar moments. Through exaggerated features, loose linework, layered textures, and unexpected color, Sandler gives each figure a personality and a story that extends beyond the image. His work moves between hand-drawn and digital processes, preserving the imperfections of traditional materials while using digital tools to build each final composition.
Sandler has exhibited twice at the New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU), receiving an Honorable Mention for digital artwork, and was commissioned to create a large-scale public mural for Palo Alto High School. He also works as a graphic designer for Orsay, an internationally touring DJ. This first print collection brings these different parts of his practice together, turning everyday observations into expressive characters designed to live beyond the page.
